Art Status
Yeah, I know I haven't been on lately. It's summertime for goodness sakes! Well, anyways, this is my current art status:
I suck so bad that I'm taking the summer and the whole school year to brush up. I'm not going to be posting any drawings until I feel more confident. Critiques are nice once in a while, but I'm not the person for them. I already know what's wrong with my drawings, though, it is nice to see what others think too. That is my final decision. I'm going to be studying out of Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain by Betty Edwards, which my art teacher has taught the basics of all year last year. I really recommend reading it if you haven't! Here's the website:

Hey everyone. In the past, I've learned to make about me sections short and to the point. I guess I'll have to start doing that from now on. :/
Anyways...
I'm Laura, around here they either call me Laura or L. I'm going to be 16 in February and I live in the United States. I'm a very quite, shy, kind, and polite person. However, once you get to know me, I'm not as quite and shy as I was when you met me (duh). I guess I'm an intelligent person. I don't like when things are given to me and I only like to give to others. Drama isn't my thing and I don't get along well with drama queens. I act like I'm the center of attention sometimes even though I'm not that kind of person. If someone hurts my feelings I tend not to care and look on the bright side because in the end does it really matter who said what about you or what someone did to you? No! If it did, I'd probably be dead by now!
I like art a lot. With out it, I would have probably keeled over by now. I love to draw. Out of all of the mediums I've tried to work in, I feel I have more control when I draw, so I do that. Then, I would probably like painting because I can mix the colors. I love photography. I think it's amazing how a camera works. Music, like any other teenager would say, is my life. I listen to it every day and I love pretty much all of it except for Country and Rap. There is a long story behind why I don't like those genres, but that can be saved for later. Oh yeah, I love foreign language. I'm learning how to speak French in school for obvious reasons, but I liked the language so that's kind of a bonus. :)
Well, I guess that's me in a nutshell. I forgot to add how crazy and random I am, but I guess that's a learning experience. Don't be afraid to talk to me. I don't bite. :) I love meeting new people.
